Avalaunch registration fixes your sale round and locks your staking balance
Avalaunch locks your full XAVA stake until sale completion when you confirm a Staking Round registration. Confirmation also fixes your selected round for that sale. Registration gives you access to an allocation you can purchase; enabling Auto-Buy adds a separate purchase instruction. Your stake becomes unavailable during the sale, and a post-sale cooldown can affect withdrawal costs afterward. Before confirming, establish whether the sale schedule fits your need to withdraw XAVA and whether any enabled automation matches your intended purchase.
Confirming registration with the intended wallet
Staking Round registration requires completed identity verification, a verified C-Chain wallet, and XAVA deposited in Allocation Staking. Registration must also occur within the selected sale's registration period. An eligible account alone does not reserve participation. Check whether the sale requires an AVAX registration deposit and whether skipping the purchase forfeits it.
A registration with a withdrawal constraint
Consider this hypothetical case: you want to register for the Staking Round while retaining manual control over the purchase. Your account is eligible, your verified wallet has XAVA deposited in Allocation Staking, and you will not need that stake before sale completion. Those assumed circumstances make the sale lock acceptable.
The sale lock covers your entire staking balance. Compare the sale's completion time with your earliest required withdrawal time. In this hypothetical case, the sale lock fits your withdrawal plan. Before registering, also check that any voluntary term lock and the post-sale withdrawal fee fit that plan. Auto-Buy remains disabled because you want to decide whether to purchase during your round.
Expected registration versus confirmed registration
With the verified wallet connected, select the Staking Round and confirm the registration transaction only if those checks pass. The expected outcome is a registration associated with that wallet and sale, with the selected round recorded.
Suppose the transaction succeeds and the sale shows the wallet registered for the Staking Round. Keep the transaction identifier and the sale details together so the record identifies the commitment you made.
You are now registered, but you have not yet decided whether to buy. A pending transaction would leave registration unresolved; it would not provide the same confirmation. Registration success also would not prove that a token purchase had occurred.
Can I switch rounds after confirming?
You cannot change your confirmed round selection within the same sale, even when your wallet qualifies for both available allocation rounds. Review that choice before authorizing registration. The single-round rule concerns the allocation round you select; the optional Booster Round has separate participation requirements.
The stake lock extends beyond the purchase budget
The balance affected by registration
Registering for the Staking Round locks your total XAVA stake until the sale is completed. A smaller intended purchase does not reduce that lock to a matching portion of XAVA. This distinction matters when the staking balance is substantially larger than the allocation you expect to buy. The purchase budget and the temporarily unavailable stake are different amounts.
Withdrawal costs after the sale
Sale completion ends the registration lock, but the post-sale cooldown introduces another consideration. Registered participants face a withdrawal fee in XAVA that declines over the cooldown period. Its duration and starting percentage are adjustable parameters. The applicable withdrawal fee, rather than sale completion alone, determines the cost of exiting at a particular time. Skipping the purchase does not erase the fact you registered.
Existing term locks
A voluntary XAVA term lock has its own expiry. Finishing a sale does not end a longer lock chosen to obtain additional XAVA Points. Before treating sale completion as your withdrawal date, account for any term lock still covering the tokens. The registration lock and a voluntary term lock arise from different actions.
Does registering also buy my allocation?
Registration alone does not purchase the sale tokens; a manual purchase or an enabled, funded automation performs that action.
Manual purchase
Without Auto-Buy, participation requires returning during the selected round to purchase the available allocation. The purchase window belongs to that sale's schedule. A registration confirmation therefore should not be treated as a receipt for purchased tokens. Leaving the allocation unpurchased also does not undo the earlier staking commitment.
Auto-Buy and its cutoff
Auto-Buy authorizes an automated purchase during the sale window and requires deposited AVAX collateral. Once the sale begins, you cannot disable Auto-Buy. A change of mind must therefore account for the automation cutoff, rather than only the time your allocation round opens. Deposited collateral funds execution; its presence alone does not demonstrate a completed purchase.
Additional purchases through the Booster Round
The Booster Round is a separate opt-in automation for purchasing unsold tokens after the Staking Round. You must opt in and deposit AVAX collateral and gas funds before the sale begins. Purchases depend on unsold tokens remaining. Enabling it can authorize spending beyond the initial allocation purchase. Review that choice separately when setting a purchase budget; registration in the Staking Round does not itself express an instruction to buy remaining tokens.
Registration records and purchase records prove different things
A successful registration transaction records entry into the selected sale round; a successful purchase transaction records the subsequent purchase. Keep their identifiers associated with the same wallet and sale. A wallet connection, an eligibility indication, or an automation setting does not replace those completed actions. If the transaction history and the displayed sale state disagree, resolve the discrepancy before treating the registration or purchase as confirmed or authorizing another transaction.
What remains reversible after a purchase?
After a purchase, a refund is available only when the particular sale's protection terms make that purchase eligible. It is not a general cancellation right attached to registration. Protection terms vary between sales, including the conditions that activate refunds and the actions that remove eligibility.
Claiming tokens from that sale or interacting with its allocations in the Vesting Marketplace can remove refund eligibility under the applicable protection policy. Check that sale's refund terms before either action if you want to preserve refund eligibility. A refund may also exclude transaction fees.
Remaining unregistered avoids making this sale's registration commitment, but forfeits participation once registration closes. Confirming registration secures access to the selected round while accepting the associated stake restrictions. The choice turns on whether access to that sale is worth losing immediate withdrawal flexibility.
FAQ
What happens if I miss the sale registration deadline?
Missing the registration period prevents participation in that sale, even if you already meet its staking and account requirements. Preparing an eligible account does not extend the deadline. Registration and the later purchase round are separate windows, so an upcoming purchase period does not mean registration remains available.
Does a pending registration transaction mean my place is confirmed?
A pending transaction does not establish completed registration. Submission and successful execution are different states. Check whether the original transaction succeeded and whether the selected sale recognizes the registration before deciding another submission is necessary. Retaining the transaction identifier helps distinguish an unresolved request from a completed registration.
Will a small allocation limit my exposure to XAVA price changes?
A small allocation does not cap the market exposure of the XAVA balance you hold. The purchase allocation and your stake are separate positions. While the registration lock prevents withdrawal, the value of that stake can still change. Compare the amount committed through staking with the amount intended for the sale purchase, rather than treating them as one budget.
Do I remain eligible if my validator stops operating before the sale?
Validator Round eligibility requires the qualifying validator node to remain active during both registration and the sale. Successful registration does not remove that continuing condition. If node activity changes afterward, the initial eligibility state no longer establishes that the participation requirement remains satisfied.
Are registrations for separate Community and Gold Staker sales interchangeable?
Separate Community and Gold Staker sales require separate registrations when offered as a dual sale. Eligibility for both does not make one registration cover both sale pages. This differs from choosing an allocation round within one sale: distinct sales have their own registration requirements, even when an eligible stake can count toward both.
